Job Description
Our client, located in Mississauga ON, is in search of an Outside Sales Representative to represent and promote a complete line of services, products, rentals, and aftermarket items.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and onboard new business, generating daily, weekly, and monthly leads.
- Sell, manage, and maintain fleet management programs.
- Build site and operational-specific quotes and maintain relationships. Ensure all equipment undergoes annual safety and lifting device inspections and meets provincially mandated minimum standards.
- Perform related repairs to safety-certified machines and advise customers on preventive maintenance programs to maintain equipment and adhere to OHSA (Ontario Health and Safety Act).
- Promote long-term rental programs and lease with maintenance programs. Complete fleet refreshment programs and upload customers' fleet lists into the system.
- Perform onsite fleet assessments and upload all customer assets into Salesforce, ensuring accuracy with all required data.
- Manage business development and grow the territory by educating customers about the complete range of products and services offered.
- Work closely with the service manager, parts department, rentals coordinator, and business development manager.
- Inform and assist the inside sales team of potential equipment sales opportunities.
- Attend training programs with suppliers and participate in customer events and outings.
- Utilize leads provided in the territory and generate additional leads independently.
- Access state-of-the-art sales management programs to manage, track, and maintain all business opportunities.
- Focus on building a large portfolio of service-based business, with most aftermarket product opportunities and rental leads coming from service accounts.
- Target industrial markets such as warehousing, 3PL facilities, manufacturing, food processing, packaging facilities, and yard and outdoor industrial environments.
- Perform onsite equipment installations and sales follow-ups.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in sales in an industrial environment.
- Excellent telephone presence and manners, as well as strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Must have own vehicle with a valid driver's license
- Should have high energy level, a positive attitude and be able to work without direct supervision.
- Should be a strong team player and work well with others.
- Empathy and confidence will allow the candidate to succeed in this position.
- Good time management and organizational skills are necessary.
- Experience with Salesforce is preferred
