Job Description
- Determine plant production requirements based on sales & operations planning, open customer orders, and annual production goals.
- Attend/facilitate daily and weekly planning/scheduling meetings with the team.
- Develop finite schedule to optimize plant operations balanced with the needs of the business.
- Monitor order releases, priority customer orders, and work center inventory levels daily to maintain on-time delivery.
- Creation and/or support of the Plan to Pack Report.
- Review timing and material requirements to support the production plan for the US Mint.
- Work with other departments to ensure valid scheduling and compliance and to expedite orders when necessary.
- Supply and demand date reconciliation.
- Monitor NCR material to ensure that disposition is timely and material keeps moving.
- Incorporate customer requests into production schedules.
- Ensure orders are started on time, and releases are within established WIP Inventory policies.
- Conduct cycle counting and support yearly inventory audits.
Qualifications:
- Two year degree or three years of experience/training in a production environment with manufacturing concepts.
- Sound communication, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to plan work.
- MRP knowledge and experience desirable.
