Job Description
Marchand Electrical Co. Ltd is a lighting and electrical distribution company that has been serving the Ottawa Gatineau area since 1892. We are currently in search of a highly motivated professional with sales experience to join our outside sales team. This position is based out of our Ottawa office, at 1283 Algoma Road.
Responsibilities:
- Contact existing customers regularly to maintain strong relationships and generate repeat sales.
- Actively work to expand the customer base to grow the business.
- Arrange meetings with new and existing customers to assess their needs, introduce new products, technology, and product lines.
- Find solutions to your customers problems in a timely manner.
- Maintain your knowledge of industry products. Regular information sessions are provided.
- Provide customers with product information and quotations.
- Follow up regularly on quotations provided to customers.
- Additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the lighting and electrical industry preferred, at least 3 years of sales and/ or customer service experience required.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Energetic and self motivated with a strong desire to achieve your sales goals.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Valid drivers license & reliable vehicle.
