Position Summary
The Business Analyst will primarily be responsible for creating, monitoring, and optimizing operational metrics and generating weekly construction progress reports for our clients. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for renewable energy projects, ensuring that client expectations are met with accurate, timely reporting. The Business Analyst will also serve as a supporting resource to the Drone Analyst team, supporting tasks like recording installation progress and performing quality control on drone-collected data to ensure accurate reporting.
Responsibilities
Create and Monitor Operations Metrics: Develop and track operational metrics related to project progress, using data from various systems (including Jira and drone data), to monitor project performance and identify potential areas for improvement.
Generate Weekly Construction Progress Reports: Produce weekly construction progress reports for clients based on project data, focusing on tracking milestones, installation quantities, and overall project health. Ensure the reports are accurate and delivered on time.
Support Drone Analyst Tasks: Assist the Drone Analyst team with tasks like recording installation progress, performing quality control checks on drone-collected imagery, and validating data to ensure consistency and accuracy in reports.
Data Analysis: Leverage SQL to extract and analyze data from Jira, project management tools, and other relevant sources to create actionable insights and support operational decision-making.
Collaboration and Communication: Work cross-functionally with project managers and other team members to ensure metrics and reports align with business objectives and client needs.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, metrics tracking, and data collection to streamline workflows and enhance the accuracy of progress reports.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience).
1+ year of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role focused on data analysis and reporting.
Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis from various business systems.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI or excel) to create dashboards and display key metrics.
Experience with Jira or other project management tools for tracking project milestones, task progress, and team workflows.
Experience in creating and generating client-facing reports and operational metrics.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and generate actionable insights.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data insights and project progress to internal teams and clients.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
Proactive problem-solving approach with a commitment to continuous improvement in processes and reporting.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime when required to meet business needs (e.g., PH holidays).
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience with solar or wind power plant components and their installation processes (e.g., PV modules, trackers, inverters, wind turbines).
Experience with photogrammetry software (e.g., Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, SimActive Correlator3D, Propeller, DJI Terra, or similar tools).
