Job Summary

A key member of the sales team, the Regional Sales Representative is accountable for delivering the assigned territory’s sales goals through the retention of the existing customer base, and the acquisition of new customers. They identify, investigate and develop sales growth opportunities and strategies with prospective customers and potential new markets within the defined territory. The Account Manager manages, maintains and strengthens existing customer relationships as a key corporate representative for the Company.

Summary of essential job functions:

Account Management

  • Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships with key decision makers
  • Promotes, sells and secures purchase orders from existing and prospective customers
  • Develops and implements strategies for retention and growth opportunities with the company’s existing customer base
  • Expedites resolution of customer problems and/or concerns
  • Responsible for writing and presenting quotations and proposals
  • Provides technical guidance and support in using Screenco products
  • Tracks, monitors and manages accounts to ensure achievement of sales goals
  • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing Return on Time Investment for the territory

Prospecting

  • Identifies and pursues opportunities with new customers and markets
  • Identifies and presents opportunities for new products with existing and new customers within Screenco’s capabilities to the President

Marketing and Strategy

  • Conducts research to identify prospective customers and qualifies them
  • Identifies and markets the company’s value proposition with customers and potential customers
  • Actively participates and assists in sales strategy planning for market definition, competitive analysis, customer segmentation and product positioning
  • Reports industry information, threats, opportunities and market changes to the President on a regular basis

Reporting

  • Updates CRM with quotes and customer communication
  • Reviews sales reports on a monthly basis and provides written feedback on key variances against budget

Minimum Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma and/or degree in business or combination of post-secondary courses and work experience in sales
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in existing or comparable manufacturing industries, and a minimum of 2 years in a sales role.

Abilities Required

  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
  • Knowledge about company products and production capabilities.
  • Engineering or strong technical understanding preferred.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Energetic individual with a proven track record of accountability and results.
  • Ability to work well without supervision.
  • Proven ability to plan, manage and execute at the sales level.
  • Strong time management, organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively by airplane or vehicle as required. Valid driver’s license mandatory.
  • Proven ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using organizational ERP system or CRM system.
