Job Purpose:
Sell and market Edupoint products and services in the K-12 market.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the sales of student and instructional management software products and services to the K-12 education market. Drive new sales opportunities within a defined territory, growing market share to achieve sales quota and performance goals. In addition, create upsell opportunities for new and emerging modules within existing client base.
Job Duties:
§ Identify, cultivate and close new Student Information System (SIS) opportunities
§ Identify, cultivate and close upsell opportunities of additional modules
§ Using Salesforce and other tools, update leadership on progress towards quota goals through weekly reports and quarterly pipeline reporting
§ Create and deliver customized client presentations to match the needs of the specific demos/opportunities
§ Build and maintain client relationships at the technology and leadership levels within target districts and regional service centers
§ Participate in RFP responses by developing pricing, completing price forms, validating references and providing competitive intelligence to assist the RFP team with the proposal
§ Facilitate negotiation discussions between client and company
§ Develop a strong understanding of our technology solutions and keep current with industry trends
§ Effective teamwork within the sales department and cross-function support teams
§ Attend area trade shows and industry events
§ Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements-Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge:
§ Excellent knowledge of MS Office and email programs
- Skills:
§ PowerPoint presentation skills
§ Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Abilities:
§ Ability to travel
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
§ Bachelor’s degree is required
- Solution selling experience
- Outside sales experience (required)
- Technology sales experience (consulting, software, solutions) required
- K12 market experience preferred
