Inside Sales / Application Engineer - Electrical Distribution & Controls
Position Overview
The Inside Sales Representative will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by managing customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and providing solutions to meet customer needs. This position requires a proactive approach to sales and a strong understanding of technical products and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming sales inquiries and provide timely responses to customers.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand product specifications and applications to effectively communicate with customers.
- Utilize CRM and ERP systems to track sales activities and customer interactions efficiently.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and product demonstrations to clients as needed.
- Participate in sales meetings and strategy sessions to align with company objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inside sales or application sales engineering.
- Strong understanding of UL891, UL67, UL508A standards and their applications.
- Proficient in using CRM and ERP software to manage customer interactions and sales processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an ability to convey technical information to non-technical clients.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Some travel could be involved to ensure projects are completed and the customer is satisfied.
