Basic Function:
Under the direction of the Business Development Manager, this position directs, oversees, and expands the referral source base in alignment with the company mission, vision, and strategic plan.
Requirements:
- Prior field sales experience preferably in Home Medical Equipment (HME).
- Ability to sell a complex service portfolio at multiple levels within target accounts.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and accrediting body regulations.
- Excellent human relation skills with the ability to mentor/train/coach various levels of staff with varying backgrounds.
- Demonstrates ability to work successfully with internal and external contacts.
- Strong collaborative and demonstration skills in facilitating teamwork.
- Demonstrate excellent written, oral communication, listening and problem-solving skills; organizational skills required.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently.
- Ability to persuade and influence others.
- Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
- Must have a valid IL driver’s license.
- Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of the organization by adhering to the Sales Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct.
- Perform field promotional work to secure new business in hospitals, nursing homes, or doctor’s offices where full market potential or product line acceptance has not been established.
- Coordinates and conducts meetings and product training sessions with target referral sources to build product demand.
- Facilitate customer orders and provide account service to assigned and prospective customers in the collection of required documentation needed to process orders and claims.
- Develop and implement an efficient sales business plan for the territory in collaboration with marketing and other partners.
- Input all call and sales activity into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Platform and utilize information to target opportunities daily.
- Meet requirements for daily sales and activity expectations of customer-facing events per day and month.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information.
- Address customer complaints in an appropriate and professional manner. Escalating concerns as required by current processes.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Respond to requests from referral sources courteously and with respect.
- Interact in strict adherence to HIPPA compliance regulations, related company policies, and adheres to marketing budget.
