At Painter1 of Knoxville, sales is the life-blood of the company. We would be nothing without our successful sales team. We’re seeking a qualified sales representative to act as a consultant for painting projects by focusing on customer needs and visions for their homes. The sales representative will have a strong understanding of the sales process, a constant drive for continuous improvement, excelling at building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong listening and people skills, and the ability to showcase our company in a compelling way. Often tasked with meeting with potential clients, listening to their visions, generating a fair, concise estimate, and ensuring projects start off well based on prior discussions with clients. It is essential that our sales rep be personable and professional. This role is performance based (commission) pay, meaning the more you sale and bring in, the more you earn.
Objectives of this Role
· Represent Painter1’s services to potential clients with an expert knowledge to advise clients of our products and ability to listen to identify how our solutions meet client’s needs.
· Meet weekly to review production and sales. We will also generate ideas and review sales and marketing strategies and tactics
· Follow up with potential clients to ensure understanding of provided quotes and ability to revise to meet their needs and budget.
· Ability to generate new leads, during slow times, is also essential.
· Produce accurate and fair estimate by understanding the area market and economical changes.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
· Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities
· Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to be an advisor to clients.
· Prepare professional, complete, concise and accurate proposals.
· Ensure projects start off right by meeting with crew and clients on the start date and also maintain communication with client during and after the project completes.
· Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential clients.
· Maintain sales goals set forth by the executive team to allow for growth
- Cultivate new clientele in during times without sales calls
Skills and Qualifications
· Experience in the painting business is preferred, but a thirst for knowledge and being a quick learner will be considered.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
· Proficiency with sales management software and Microsoft Office products.
· Personal integrity
· Ability to work on your own to achieve goals and a competitive desire to exceed goals
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma required
· Proven success rate at levels above quotas
· Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work well with technology
· Knowledge of interior and exterior terminology of a home
· Previous painting or paint sales experience
