Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new sales leads, pitching products and services, maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers. The Area Sales Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, conducting market research, and meeting sales targets.
Qualifications
- Sales, marketing, and customer service skills
- Ability to analyze and recommend mechanical processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience in the waste management, recycling, or related industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Proficiency in relevant sales and CRM software
Where in the Sales Process: Responsibilities lie in every stage of the pipeline (From SQL through closing). Takes full ownership of the client relationship as it travels towards the negotiation stage. Gets support from engineering, ASE, and marketing while leading the client through the various stages. Relies on the ASE when preparing complex proposals above his/her level of expertise. Owns and creates the formal proposal and manages all presentations towards the client.
SALES ENGINEER:
Prospecting:
- Identify and research potential customers within WR’s core industry segments.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through various channels and networking efforts.
- Utilize digital tools and platforms to identify and connect with potential customers.
Customer Relationship Management:
- WR Customer ownership - Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing customer base.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.
Product Knowledge:
- Develop a strong understanding of the company's products and their applications in the recycling sector.
- Articulate the value proposition of the products to potential customers.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
- Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams based on market insights.
Sales Presentations:
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential clients.
- Tailor presentations to address the specific needs and challenges of customers in WR’s core segments.
Negotiation:
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers.
- Work to achieve mutually beneficial agreements that meet both customer needs and company objectives (profitability).
Sales Strategy Development:
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and tactics.
- Work with the sales team to create effective sales plans and objectives.
Sales Forecasting:
- Provide accurate sales forecasts based on pipeline analysis and market trends.
- Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to ensure alignment with revenue goals.

- Educate customers on the benefits and features of the company's solutions.
- Coordinate and/or Provide training and support to ensure customers satisfaction.

- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and deal progress.

- Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams.

- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
