As a Provider Network Business Development Manager you will be responsible for expanding the provider network for our Collaborative Care clients. The purpose of this role is to maximize transactions in MCG's Collaborative Care solution which includes expanding payer and provider networks, promoting adoption among existing purchasers, supporting strategic sales efforts, and providing thought leadership on Utilization Management Automation solutions in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.

You will:

  • Consultatively sell MCG's automation solutions to strategic customers in partnership with sales executives.
  • Assist with prospecting customers, participate in association committees, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to create marketing, sales, and thought leadership materials for MCG's UM Automation solutions.
  • Consult with customers & educate both payers and providers on the contents and implications of the CMS Rule around prior authorization.
  • Expand provider adoption of Collaborative Care by working with payers who have purchased the solution.
  • Identify a target list of providers working with Customer Success to come up with strategic objectives for each payer.
  • Assist payers in promoting the solution to their provider networks.
  • Attend and present at hospital association events to highlight Collaborative Care benefits for providers.
  • Gain insights into the current state of customers and assist them in comprehending the extent of compliance requirements, utilizing methods such as whiteboarding sessions, on-demand content, and on-site customer visits.
  • Collaborate with IT teams from payer and provider organizations to illustrate how MCG's solutions can effectively address their specific needs at a detailed level, employing tools like whiteboarding sessions to outline potential solutions.
  • Understand and communicate compliance requirements through whiteboarding, on-demand content, and customer onsite visits.
  • Help customers integrate compliance and cost-saving initiatives internally related to utilization management.
  • Document consultative selling conversations, create actionable narratives for implementation teams, and demo MCG UM automation solutions.
  • Apply customer data to MCG Return on Investment models and present savings cases to senior-level financial stakeholders.
  • Develop a thought leadership strategy on interoperability, prior authorization, and automated utilization management in collaboration with various departments, including Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing, incorporating both online and offline components.
  • Work with Marketing, Sales, Product, Communications, Customer Success, and others to drive awareness and visibility of MCG's innovation in utilization management automation activities.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, drive awareness of MCG's innovation in utilization management automation, and act as a spokesperson in the broader market.
  • Assist with prospecting customers as it relates to building relationships in different parts of our customers' organizations.
  • Participate in association committees such as: WEDI Innovation Committee, Da Vinci Workgroup, CAQH CORE
  • Consult with Product Management on product strategy, providing market feedback on customer responses and preferences, as well as insights on competitors.

What we're looking for:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, healthcare administration, or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, involving direct interaction with clients and a demonstrated history of achieving or surpassing set targets.
  • At least 8 years of industry work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the healthcare industry, encompassing knowledge of payer and provider dynamics, regulations, and current trends is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of clinical data, utilization management, and familiarity with industry standards such as HL7, FHIR, accelerators, and collaboration models is required.
  • Experience in presenting at prominent industry events, and partner conferences, and engaging in copresentation opportunities with clients, showcasing a proven ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in tailoring communication to various audiences and adept at articulating the value proposition of products/services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with medical necessity prior authorizations is preferred.
  • Experience using MCG's Products is preferred.

Base Pay Range: $128,000.00 - $169,000

Other compensation: Commission eligible
