UsedCardboardBoxes & UCBZeroWaste (UCB) designs, implements and runs large-scale, fully zero waste programs by reducing waste (cost) and increasing recycling and reuse (revenue).

Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting all production employees by keeping unsorted products in front of the production employees and pulling out finished products. This position essentially moves all products around the warehouse whether it is incoming off trailers, sorted through and put into our inventory, shifting product around to make room and loading outgoing product onto trailers.

Responsibilities

Clocking in and out each day correctly on our online system.
Adhering to all company policies and procedures as written in our handbook.
Keeping the entire warehouse clean, neat, organized, and presentable. Must meet all GMP and fire codes.
Perform a Pre inspection on forklift daily, at the beginning of shift.
Unload and load product from trailers at dock doors.
Aid the entire team in keeping up with their production quotas, tote sorters, box sorters and lid sorter.
Follow direction of workflow from the on-duty Shift Leader (or in some cases the Manager).
End of day – make sure all finished goods are put away and stacked, set up the sort teams with product
for the next morning business.
Other duties as they are assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

1 or more years in warehouse/manufacturing experience
1 or more years of forklift driving experience

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

UsedCardboardBoxes was founded in 2006 and is the largest processor of USED gaylord totes, produce totes, resin/octo-bins and shipping boxes in North America. We can pay much more than recycling rates because we don’t recycle! We REUSE, RESELL and RETURN them, as is, right here in the US. USED totes are mainly sold to major retailers for reverse logistics, or to large scrap processors (metal, plastic, paper, etc.) to sort/transport commodities. USED shipping boxes are sold mainly to major retailers for distribution from DC to store and many are used to create UCB’s eco-friendly moving kits, sold online. As a closed-loop RETURN program, gaylord totes, resin bin and shipping boxes can be sorted, inspected, palletized, inventoried and RETURNED back to the original vendor, for reuse (at signiﬁcant savings).

UCBZeroWaste is a world-class, fully managed waste reduction program. We partner with major food, beverage and CPG clients to implement our proven methodology to reduce waste by focusing on the origin of waste (inside the building) as well as the processing of waste (outside the building). Our comprehensive programs include waste reduction, recycling, reuse, resale as well as de-packaging, digesting, composting and/or waste-to-energy (WTE). We manage all commodities, all vendors, all logistics, all invoicing and all reporting. All programs are proactively managed, real-time using UCB’s proprietary software called WATER: W*aste Analytics & Tracking for Environmental R*eporting.
