JRC is actively recruiting a talented Cybersecurity Analyst to play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of mission critical systems and data. You will work collaboratively with the government customer and our engineering teams to identify and mitigate potential cybersecurity threats, develop and implement effective security controls, and provide expertise on compliance and regulatory requirements.
As the Cybersecurity Analyst, you will...
- Track Authorization to Operate (ATO) throughout the lifecycle.
- Update ATO approvals to maintain continued ATO throughout modernization.
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies aligned with NIST's Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify, prioritize, and mitigate security threats.
- Identify, select, and implement applicable security controls from NIST's Special Publication 800-53.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of the 6 steps (Categorize, Select, Implement, Assess and Authorize, Monitor and Evaluate, Provide Continuous Monitoring).
- Identify need for, develop, and maintain policies and procedures for cybersecurity program management.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies while applying your knowledge to evaluate and improve existing programs.
What you bring to the table...
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- 5+ years of experience developing RMF packages
- An active DoD SECRET Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET Security Clearence.
- Proven track record of implementing effective cybersecurity programs using NIST guidelines
- Experience with security control implementation, assessment, and authorization
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- Ability to convey complex information clearly, concisely, and accurately in both technical and non-technical contexts
Bonus Points for...
- A CISSP certification or other relevant certifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Knowledge of DoD, Navy, or federal regulations and guidelines related to RMF and cybersecurity
