The Engineered Systems Sales Representative is responsible for selling specialized fire alarm and special hazards systems. This role emphasizes increasing sales by developing and maintaining customer relationships within assigned markets. Duties include identifying potential customers, following up on sales leads, and supporting customers with ongoing service needs. Knowledge of NICET-certified Special Hazards and Fire Alarm systems is essential for this position to ensure client needs are met effectively.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads, focusing on customers with specific safety needs.
  • Communicate with customers to understand and identify their product or service needs; recommend appropriate fire safety systems accordingly.
  • Demonstrate system functions and benefits based on client requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support through communication and relationship management; addresses post-sale concerns as they arise.
  • Alert current and past customers about new products, services, or system enhancements.
  • Document sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, and any issues affecting client relationships.
  • Supply periodic territory sales forecasts to guide business strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field OR at least five years of relevant sales experience.
  • NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems and Special Hazards Systems are required.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with proven ability to maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management in high-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and related tools.

  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to travel as required.
