Duties and Essential Job Functions

The role entails working with sales and company leadership to help strategize, then plan, execute and measure marketing and sales enablement efforts. As a ‘Marketing Army of One,” this person must execute from end-to-end, working with many internal and partners to build brand equity and maximize customer growth, retention and engagement.

The ideal candidate has the capacity to ultimately grow into a senior leader of a professional marketing team, the humility to work their way to that level and the vision to help build the team over time. This person is a born-marketer, a natural multitasker, has an intuitive sense of priorities and an ‘example-setting’ work ethic. To succeed in the role, you must be results-oriented, revenue-driven, an amazing communicator, effective spender and an amazing ‘translator’ between our company’s many audiences and constituents. We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves people, is creative, strategic and has excellent organizational and communication skills.

This person is especially passionate about increasing access to and reducing the cost of treatments for life-threatening illness.

To be successful, the Marketing and Sales Enablement Generalist will do the following:

Provide Omni-channel Marketing for B2B & B2C Audiences

  • Researches, plans, develops, coordinates and executes omnichannel, audience-centric, marketing, public relations, advertising, event support and sales enablement programs that maximize audience and revenue growth, retention and engagement.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategy-driven tactics across the digital and physical worlds, including but not limited to email campaigns, PPC, social media, earned and paid advertising, online content, tradeshows, seminars, industry sponsorships, etc.
  • Adapts marketing efforts with agility through changing strategic, economic and operational challenges.

Create Captivating Content

  • Creates, coordinates and implements marketing campaigns with engaging content that attracts the right audience with the right call to action.
  • Provides (or contracts as budgeted) copywriting for marketing and sales collateral and materials.
  • Creates social media and content calendars populated by interesting and shareable content, including but not limited to blog articles, social media posts, videos, infographics, etc.

Champion The Sales Mission

  • Cultivates partnerships with donor and commercial sales teams to uncover the needs of each audience and delivers marketing efforts that reflect segment specific buying journeys.
  • Helps fill the sales funnel through the creation of buyer-journey experiences to generate high-intent marketing qualified leads.

Drive Data-Driven Decisions

  • Sponsors and communicates the results of market research, monitoring industry trends and customer behaviors, helping identify opportunities.
  • Identifies, tracks and reports marketing metrics and KPIs using appropriate analytical tools, ensuring efforts are yielding positive ROI, modifies and optimizes as necessary.
  • Stays up to date with social media and marketing trends and best practices.
  • Provides end-to-end lead/funnel tracking and reporting.

Be All About the Brand

  • Builds brand awareness. Measures and reports baseline and incremental brand awareness by audience at regular intervals.
  • Drives brand consistency across the company, publishes brand guidelines and sharable up-to-date library of marketing assets, imagery, approved messaging, etc.
  • Maintains a review and approval process for all Marketing and Sales enablement output.
  • Ensures that marketing output is accurate, consistent and correct.

Foster Trust and Teamwork

  • Fosters positive, productive working relationships.
  • Performs a wide variety of projects as requested by leadership, sales and internal partners.
  • Coordinates the work of other team members (webmaster, designer, etc.) and relevant outside contracted partners as available and in budget (writers, PR specialists etc.)

These duties will evolve and change over time. Travel as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 4+ years’ experience in marketing/marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results.
  • MBA or equivalent markers of high achievement are a plus.
  • Proven knowledge of marketing outreach strategies and methods for both B2B and B2C.
  • Experience with CRM and lead generation strategies (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience with marketing on social platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
  • Experience with automated campaign management tools and SEO, PPC, SEM best practices.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Sitecore, Craft, Seismic, etc.).
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Fathom Analytics, Matomo, etc.).
  • Knowledge of design software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred.
  • Some experience managing agencies and contracted expertise a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
