Job Overview:
Scentiment is looking for a driven and strategic Head of Business Development to lead the expansion of our wholesale and commercial scenting accounts. This role will be pivotal in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, and growing our footprint across key industries like hospitality, retail, and corporate environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid sales and business development background, with a proven ability to grow client portfolios and establish lasting partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation:
Identify and target new business opportunities within wholesale and commercial scenting sectors across various industries.
- Account Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term satisfaction while maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Sales Strategy Development:
Design and implement effective sales strategies that enhance market penetration and drive revenue growth in the wholesale and commercial scenting markets.
- Negotiation & Closing:
Lead high-level contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and sales presentations to secure major deals and long-term partnerships.
- Market Research & Analysis:
Perform thorough market analysis to spot trends, emerging opportunities, and high-potential industries for scenting solutions.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer experience teams to ensure alignment with client needs and business objectives.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting:
Set, monitor, and report on KPIs to track business development success, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
- Brand Representation:
Represent Scentiment at industry events, trade shows, and key client meetings, positioning the company as a leader in commercial scenting solutions.
- Client Onboarding & Support:
Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring smooth integration of scenting solutions and ongoing client support for satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the fragrance, scenting, or commercial product industries.
- An established hospitality, retail, and corporate network is highly desirable.- Proven track record of winning and expanding high-value client accounts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to leverage market trends and data for business growth.
- Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
