Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer directs the financial and other departmental activities in accordance with defined Company policies and objectives. Responsibilities include management of all financial departments, allocation of resources, and preparation of the annual budget. Departmental responsibility typically includes Accounting, Reimbursement, IT, and Compliance. Functions at an executive level in an active leadership role. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible to the Company CEO, and maintains business collaborative relationships with the Sales, Operations, Human Resources, to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.

I. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Financial Management: Strategic and hands-on managing the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and auditing. Ensure that the financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization's short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the financial strategy of the company. This includes long-term financial planning and forecasting, risk management, and investment strategies.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements. Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. This includes tax planning and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and selling product to the Federal Government and sales under the Davis Bacon Act and the FAR to governmental entities.
  • Leadership: Direct the Finance and accounting team and ensure their ongoing professional development and training by developing individual development plans for succession planning. Participate and engage in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.

II. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of a current in good standing Professional accreditation – CPA.
  • Manufacturing experience – with a focus on Cost accounting desired.
  • Exceptional knowledge of data analysis, risk management, and forecasting methods.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software. Experience of 3 + years of experience ERP Systems with a preference with experience with Syteline/CSI ERP System preferred.
  • Exposure to payroll systems preferably with Kronos/UKG Pro
  • Personal Competencies desired: Action Oriented, Learning, Ethical Standards, Communication (both written and spoken) and Leader.
