Our clients include Nespresso, Chime, The North Face, NewYork-Presbyterian, FIGS, Ford, Guinness and many more.
As we embark on this next phase of growth, we are looking for an individual with subject matter expertise, who has worked within media and advertising sales for several years, and understands what it takes to win and can bring new and fresh thinking to how we deliver for our clients.
The role will be the key connective tissue between sales, product and executive leadership teams, responsible for seeing pitches come to fruition from brief to strategy to story to presentation.
The successful candidate will help us improve our process, and in turn will increase our conversion win rate.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As New Business Director, there is no such thing as a typical day (that’s the fun part) as you will constantly be challenged to build new relationships and partnerships, manage pitch processes, tell new stories, collaborate with internal stakeholders and bring new thinking.
Fundamentals: Develop your understanding of Croud: what we do, how we do it, and what’s important to our clients. This will be essential in pitching us to the best of your ability
Relationships: Build and maintain meaningful relationships with your prospects and our clients, based on trust, integrity and value
Targets: Take ownership of your team's lead and sales targets, then exceed them. Your focus will be new revenue growth for the US agency, partnering with our US, Managing Director
Communications: Create and continuously improve sales collateral, briefing process, opportunity analysis, and internal collaboration. Find a way to surface the best from each team and bringing that to each proposal and presentation
Sales process: Understand who we need to speak to, in what companies, when we should speak to them with valuable communication
Understanding the brief: Dissecting the brief, questioning everything and ultimately understanding what the prospect needs to grow their business
Deck Creation: Translating the challenge into an engaging, actionable and authoritative story that is clear and easy to understand for brands
Strategy: The connective tissue between sales and delivery teams, understanding the brief in relation to our product & capabilities to create the overarching pitch strategy, custom for each brand we encounter
Continual improvement: Always look to see how we can improve everything we do: from proposals to our product. This will include holding pitch post mortems
- Direct line management of Senior Strategy Manager (Sales) and Business Development Manager
- Mentorship and Guidance to our Marketing Manager and Senior Strategy Manager
OBJECTIVES
Oversees a robust process to handover new clients to internal teams including post-win pitch stories to translate what has been sold in
Oversees Annual revenue Growth Target for new to Croud revenue
Oversees Tracking, reporting and understanding of where opportunities sit in the pipeline (maintaining trackers and Hubspot)
Is always networking and selling Croud - spotting opportunities for us to partner with brands, harnessing your old and new network for contact.
Supports a high performing sales and marketing team across lead generation and sales strategy - setting objectives, KPIs and continuous feedback.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders including - VP Media, VP Client, VP Strategy, VP Analytics and their directors
Continuously learns and stays current with our industry, latest trends, product features and news in order to be effective in pitches and lead conversations
Defines high level strategy for pitches in collaboration with senior internal stakeholders
Leads deck creation alongside internal teams and designers to deliver the final product on time
Assembles pitch teams, and owns building a cohesive story, bringing together market research and audience, account audits and internal products

COMPENSATION
Salary Range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000 (Plus Commission) per year (DOE).
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on; among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
