District Sales Manager – Ontario, Canada

About the position:

The District Sales Manager is a focused team player who attains sales revenue to meet goals with gross margin targets, while developing and maintaining strategic long term customer relationships throughout Ontario.

Tasks include prospecting and soliciting orders, processing orders, identifying customer needs, creating quotations, and proposing solutions based on appropriate products to meet project requirements.

In the entrepreneurial spirit of FALK Panel, the District Sales Manager is expected to own their projects from start to finish, including project communication and coordination with the Customer and Internal FALK Panel departmental teams.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain existing customer relationships and develop new customer relationships through face-to-face visits; customer service efforts; and phone and email conversations to achieve targeted sales goals.

· Manage projects from start to finish, including managing orders and liaising with the FALK Panel Production Team.

· Resolves customer complaints regarding sales and service.

· Visit customer job sites to support sales and customer interactions.

· Be a subject matter expert on all products that FALK Panel manufactures and distributes.

· Prepare and deliver product presentations to contractors, architects, installers, and engineers.

· Read and interpret construction documents and specifications to prepare takeoffs and estimates.

· Plan, prioritize, and organize weekly schedules to maximize facetime with customers and travel to facilitate sales and customer service.

· Implement a strategic business plan that expands the company's customer base and achieves market share and revenue targets.

· Weekly and Monthly activity reporting.

Basic qualifications:

· Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent sales/industry experience.

· 5 years’ experience in direct sales of construction or architectural products.

· Metal Building Experience, highly preferred

· Experience in interpreting construction drawings and specifications. Demonstrated aptitude will be considered in lieu of experience.

· High level of computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook preferred but could be trained during the job.

· Performing construction project take-offs

· Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.

· Independent and self-motivated sales professional

· Negotiate to achieve “Win – Win” outcomes.

· Exceptional planning skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, blueprints, training and procedure manuals.

· Ability to write reports and correspondence.

· Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, profits, proportions, percentages, and volume.

REASONING ABILITY

· Ability to apply contextual understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00-$300,000.00 per year
