Job Description
The Clinical Liaison (C.S.) is responsible for marketing Reliable Medical's Respiratory Care division and providing effective communication between our referral sources, internal staff and our respiratory patient clients. The C.S. builds and maintains effective professional relationships with clients and facilities. Job requirements include the following:
- Meeting or exceeding agreed-upon expectations for generating new orders for Respiratory Care home therapies.
- Scheduling product and clinical presentations to physicians/providers, Case Managers and Social Workers, Nurses, RTs, and patient customers to increase their knowledge base on all of Reliable Medical Supply’s respiratory product line, and the latest information available on disease management as it relates to products we carry. Must be able to perform demonstration on all respiratory products independently.
- Proactively identifying market needs and customer needs with the Director of Respiratory Care. Working in tandem with other Reliable Medical divisions and staff.
- Keeping up to date on reimbursement issues/guidelines and clinical practices in the homecare, hospital, and transitional care settings.
- Provides feedback to the Director of Respiratory Care regarding potential new business, program development, new ideas on enhancing respiratory department, and any customer needs.
- Must be an available resource for referral sources and internal staff regarding clinical and reimbursement guidelines as well as clinical application of all respiratory products. Assist with training and education for Respiratory Therapists.
- Must demonstrate effective time management skills and flexibility in order to coordinate scheduling of appointments and presentations.
- Attends training and education sessions, maintains CEU requirements as per NBRC and State of MN requirements.
- Practices and adheres to all HIPAA, HQAA and Compliance rules and regulations.
Associates Degree (A.S.) or higher from an accredited college or university. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT) credential with NBRC. Current clinical license in MN is required. May be required to obtain additional state licensures in order to expand geographical coverage. Minimum of five years' experience in Respiratory Therapy encompassing homecare and hospital settings, sleep laboratory and/or medical device sales experience a plus. Must have ventilator and airway clearance therapy knowledge and experience. Basic general computer skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Power Point for presentation purposes. Good writing and communication skills. Valid driver's license in the state of residence. Must have excellent driving record.
