Role: Business Development Manager Company Overview: Earthlight Technologies is a family owned and operated business based in Ellington, CT. We specialize in solutions for residential solar, commercial solar, EV charging Stations, and commercial energy efficiency. Our mission is to make the process easy and seamless. Position Overview: Earthlight Technologies is looking to add a Business Development Manager to join our sales team. The Business Development Manager will drive Earthlight’s monthly sales performance, work to acquire new customers, and maximize the customer experience. The Business Development Manager will also work with our Sales Partner Channel, New Home Partners, and Partner Relations, managing and growing relationships. Successful candidates will have outstanding sales & communication skills, a positive attitude, be passionate for customer service, building relationships, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Business to Consumer outside sales: including gathering referrals from clients; maintaining sales process and communication through CRM; prospecting for potential leads to generate a pipeline; site visits, presentation, and follow up. - Manage relationships with our Sales Partner Channel (i.e. Solara, Longevity Solar, Franchise Solar etc.), providing accountability and growing this channel - Manage, oversee, and build relationships with our New Homes Channel partners (i.e. EG Homes, Boynton Construction, etc), including representing Earthlight at Home Builder & Remodeling events as well as Build PAC events across CT & MA. - Manage Partner Relations – roof partners, tree companies, HVAC/Heat Pump, Geothermal companies (i.e. Homestead Comfort, Mountain Tree, Keith Gauvin Roofing etc). - Spearhead efforts to increase Earthlight’s representation at local events, networking, and branding awareness in conjunction with Marketing and sales teams (i.e. parades, trade shows, farmers markets etc). - Develop programs to promote lead generation and manage a field marketing team. - Build awareness of our commercial team’s services to new and existing clients and promote cross-selling opportunities for the commercial sales team. - Working with Commercial customers to build and promote an employee benefits program – i.e. Lunch and Learns, Coffee Hour, etc. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - Minimum of 2 years residential solar sales experience - Ability to build and manage relationships extremely well - Computer skills including Office and CRM such as Salesforce - Willingness to invest time and hard work to be a part of a leading company in a growing industry - Passion and drive to succeed - Flexibility to work evenings, Saturday and Sundays as needed Salary: Base Salary + Bonus structure based on performance Benefits Package Includes: Health Benefits - Access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage 401k - Attractive company match Time-off - A balanced approach to work-life with Paid Time Off Bonus - Performance-based bonuses Growth - Avenue for professional development and progression in a thriving company Culture - Join a family-centric atmosphere that focuses on teamwork, excellence, and customer gratification
