Job Description
We are seeking a Brokerage Sales professional for Sweet Logistics, a business unit of our growing transportation company headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI. As a member of the Sweet Logistics team you will bring a book of business along with leveraging your connections to grow our existing customer portfolio. This role would involve constant communication with our customers and carriers who rely on you and Sweet Express to provide service and solutions for their transportation needs. Energy, eagerness, honesty, optimism, and drive are all essential aspects of your success as we look to grow and build future leaders in the company!
To be successful in this role, you will be:
· Cultivating your current book of business and serving as the lead point of contact for customer, external partner, and internal team communication
· Identifying and influencing key decision-makers within current and prospective customer base to maintain/increase sales
· Ensuring appropriate customer complaint resolution, including working with operations, customer service, and driver relations.
· Coordinating customer requests for new routes to ensure successful integration into planning, customer service and operations workflow
· Manage each step of the freight sales process to include integrating existing contacts identifying prospective shippers, soliciting freight sales, and negotiating truckload rates with shippers.
· Deliver a world-class experience to customers and partners by providing the absolute best service in the logistics industry
· Lead efforts to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that result in efficiencies, stellar customer service, and lower operational costs
· Comfortable taking steps to initiate new business relationships to increase sales and consistently demonstrate superior communication skills
· Manage full sales cycle with a commitment to ethical practices
· Perform other related duties as assigned

This position is an ideal fit for an individual who possesses the following attributes:
- 2-4 Years Freight Brokerage Experience preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills and the confidence in your abilities
- Ability to think quickly on your feet, work in a fast-paced environment, and provide solutions when presented with unforeseen challenges
- Demonstrate ability to effectively prioritize your work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail

- Flexibility and teamwork skills are essential
Physical Requirements:
