Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for growing TriCore’s market position in their assigned territory area by identifying, developing, and closing new business relationships. The BDM will work alongside the Director of Sales and Solutions Architects by providing technical expertise during the sales & quoting process to ensure solutions offered are not only technically sound but also accurately quoted. The BDM is expected to provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within TriCore to ensure quality products and services are delivered.
The BDM is responsible for prospecting and cultivating opportunities with new customers/targets that have been identified and qualify new potential customers/targets as they progress.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Increase TriCore’s brand recognition and market share in the North Central, South Central and Western Regions.
- Develop business plan; and present to sales management bi-annually.
- Identify new clients by networking with partners, suppliers and existing clients.
- Screen potential business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financial impacts.
- Identify areas of strategic growth by being a thought leader in your area of focus and present potential new offering(s) during the bi-annual business plan review.
- Collaborate with the client to understand and lead their initiatives.
- Review all proposals to ensure accuracy and to assure that client expectations are met along with TriCore financial requirements.
- Achieve sales and activity goals as outlined by Director of Sales.
- Participate in sales to engineering kick off meetings (when applicable), to ensure client expectations, scope and proposal are clearly communicated and understood by the project execution team.
- Assist Project Managers and Technical Managers with scope and delivery explanation to customers when required.
- Collaborate with project management and Technical Managers to maintain overview of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project.
- Ensure client issues are resolved efficiently and effectively, informing the Director of Sales of any problems that may arise.
- Strong understanding of TriCore capabilities and services, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client.
- Present market expertise, industry knowledge, and the TriCore Brand to all customers.
- Reports to the Director of Sales, providing regular input on all pertinent account activity.
- Always represent TriCore professionally.
Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Travel expectations are approximately 30%-50%
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Must reside close to a major metropolitan airport
Training / Skills / Abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Hunter mentality to focus on generating and developing new leads
- Advanced PC skills with demonstrated knowledge and application of Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint and CRM
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle large volume of detail with accuracy and reliability
- Strong people skills the ability to interact with new and existing clients face-to-face as well as remotely
- Technical understanding of industrial environments related to your area expertise and all TriCore products
Salary range $125,000-$150,000 depending on experience level
