Autism Spectrum Interventions (ASI) requires an Billing/Administrative Associate who enjoys working in an office setting and plans on working with ASI on a regular basis for years to come. ASI is a rapidly growing clinical office. Preferred applicants will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business Administration or equivalent directly related work experience. In addition, a preferred candidate will have experience in working in a clinical or professional office and have billing experience.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience.
- Ability to execute active listening and problem-solving skills to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to react to day-to-day operational requirements in a professional and timely manner.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work with individuals of all levels.
- Time management, prioritization, and organization
- Detail-oriented: the ability to analyze spreadsheets/trackers and create action plans based on data
- Ability to remain focused and flexible while shifting/changing priorities, heavy workload and tight deadlines
- Proven strong written and verbal communication skills including phone and e-mail etiquette.
- Proven computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook; ability to provide IT support and use intricate computer systems.
- Key characteristics: organized, energetic, intelligent, dependable, good listener, professional, attention to detail and collaborative spirit.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Previous ABA/mental health administrative experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Opening and/or closing the agency based on business needs.
- Preparing and submitting various reports to funding sources - accurately and timely - as required.
- File claims to ensure maximum entitled reimbursement.
- Carrying out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
- Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients, and providers.
- Process and enter authorizations in ABA Therapy Software for all funding sources
- Receive inquiries from parents and/or funding sources regarding ASI services
- Provide an overview of ASI service offerings and answer related questions from parents and/or funding sources
- Provide guidance to clients through the funding process for all funding sources from the point of inquiry to the start of direct intervention services.
- Perform insurance verifications and determining eligibility for services as well as cost-sharing information (i.e., deductibles and copayments)
- Provide support directly to clinical staff on a daily basis.
- Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with funding sources and coworkers.
- Provides clear, timely, actionable information to internal operations and clinical executive team to address staff or family issues and organizational needs
- Perform additional duties as requested by Business Development Manager.
