The Position

Responsibilities

  • Product positioning:
    • Develop a deep understanding of products, with intricate knowledge of retail fund and SMA products.
    • Work closely with CPMs and investment team to learn product positioning.
    • Help lead the development and execution of investment product positioning, messaging, and collateral, ensuring alignment with investment management teams.
  • Product communication and marketing:
    • Work with CPM and product teams to translate our product features and benefits into marketing communications, understanding investor and advisor needs, analyzing market trends, and monitoring competitive activity.
    • Help craft value propositions, formulate clear messaging, and assure that messaging is consistent across all client touchpoints.
    • Partner with PR manager to address inquiries, form responses for PM review, and develop topics/ questions for interviews.
  • Product and thought leadership content creation:
    • Work cross-functionally to help create compelling investment-oriented content including:
      • Fund commentaries: lead the marketing production for quarterly Fund commentaries, working closely with PM and CPM teams on content, and ensuring timely delivery. Help execute new commentary format, participate in building and maintaining automation.
      • Product and thought leadership materials: review fact sheets and update as needed per product team and act as liaison between product and marketing. Develop industry standard SMA materials and fund sales ideas, and edit and review papers and commentaries.
      • Chart builder: Build charts for papers and presentations (CPM and PM handoff); create pitchbooks, “case for” decks and webinar presentations.
      • Sales enablement: Product positioning for email templates to be used by Natixis sales team, as well as internal use tools such as attribution reports, and partner with product and CPMs to assemble attack packs
      • Sales training: Collaborate closely with PM and CPM teams to create compelling training materials that highlight key product features for a broad audience
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Legal/compliance, Natixis Marketing, and Investment Management teams, to bring product narratives to life through marketing content

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in driving product and communications.
  • Core understanding of investment management to effectively communicate the product's technical capabilities and benefits to the target audience required.
  • Experience with mutual fund and SMA content development.
  • Ability to embrace and take ownership of projects.
  • Ability to build charts from raw data for PowerPoint and other marketing collateral, as well as web pages. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to craft product materials, updates, attribution, etc.
  • Experience with using, proofing and understanding all aspects of performance data, and industry related data – as well as data automation.
  • Strong writing skills for creating compelling and effective marketing content.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment under deadlines, and a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with product, marketing, legal/compliance, investment teams and other stakeholders.
  • A self-starter and team player with a proven product background in asset management or financial services.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in managing multiple stakeholders across corporate environments, professional services, etc.
  • Ability to communicate succinctly and convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Innovative thinking to develop unique and impactful marketing that differentiates the product from competitors.
