What this position is all about:

Brandpoint’s Director of Sales plays a key role in building upon the current success of the business. They will be a critical part of Brandpoint’s continued growth plans and strategies. This position oversees and manages the day-to-day needs and activities of a sales team, while also partnering with the Leadership to align on overall sales strategies, planning and achieving team and company goals.

This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in sales leadership, people management and experience in hiring, onboarding and training of sales teams. The Director of Sales will own aspects of the hiring, onboarding and training of new team members. In order to maintain and continually develop the knowledge and expertise across our team of sellers, this role will also be responsible for an ongoing training and education program.

Closely related to these functions and because we are a small, dynamic company where leaders where many hats, sales enablement experience is preferred. The role will ensure individuals can fast-track to success through quality recruitment, on-boarding, and continued training and development.

A keen eye for detail and desire to fully understand the end-to-end sales process at Brandpoint is key to success in this role. The Director of Sales must understand the role of our sales reps, in order to effectively and successfully lead the team, understand and address challenges and continually pursue strategies and tactics that will lead to success, across individual desks, as well as for the team in general.

Core Accountabilities:

  • Design and implement core training programs by analyzing sales and marketing strategic plans alongside current sales performance to ensure alignment with our service-oriented approach.
  • Maintain and enhance onboarding and training materials to ensure they reflect the latest industry trends and best practices in service-based selling.
  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and development of new sales talent, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in selling.
  • Ensure that our sales team delivers compelling sales pitches that effectively communicate the value of our products to potential clients.
  • Collaborate closely with Leadership to establish ambitious yet achievable sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Empower new sales professionals to identify, reach out to, and nurture qualified opportunities, driving business growth in our market segments.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales Leadership to identify promising market segments for prospecting and business development, leveraging our strengths.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Leadership to craft persuasive messaging for outbound communications that highlights the benefits of our products.

About you:

You are a fit for the Director of Sales role if you have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience preferably in selling services.
  • Minimum of 2 years sales management experience.
  • Exceptional sales, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience leading onboarding, training and development, particularly for a sales role or team
  • A desire to truly understand the details of our sales process and ability to work at a fast-pace, while multi-tasking and maintain a firm grasp on the details and nuances of a sales organization
  • Ability to utilize CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) effectively to support the needs of both the team and the business.
  • Strong sales coaching skills along with a proven track record of attracting, developing, and managing high-performing individuals and teams.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Sales Enablement experience desired; or alternatively, the ability to envision not only a strategy or plan, but also appreciate the details of how to fully execute on those plans, including consideration of all perspectives and impacted stake holders
  • PR or marketing agency experience a plus
