Job Title: Business Development Manager-Janitorial

Industry: Janitorial Services (Construction/Post-Construction)
Location: Fort Lauderdale & Tri-County Area (Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach)
Starting Salary: $90,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

NOTE: Must be able to regularly travel to various locations within the tri-county area (Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach)

We are a rapidly growing janitorial service provider specializing in construction and post-construction cleaning. We are committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients, ensuring their projects are completed with cleanliness and professionalism. As we continue to expand our footprint in the Fort Lauderdale and tri-county area, we are looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. Please note when applying if you are bi-lingual English/Spanish.

Candidate: Sales in Security, Pest Control or Janitorial would be ideal.

Position Overview:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and expanding our client base within the construction and post-construction sector. This role will focus on building and nurturing relationships with general contractors, construction managers, architects, and developers to position our company as the go-to provider of high-quality janitorial and cleaning services.

As a key member of the sales team, you will actively pursue new business, respond to RFPs, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong client relationships. Your success will directly contribute to the company’s growth and overall market position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic yearly sales plan to target key industries and growth opportunities.
  • Identify potential customers through cold calling and develop action plans to close them.
  • Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
  • Act as a consultant by understanding the client's environment, walking through their facilities to take measurements, and assisting in determining pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
  • Deliver sales presentations to a range of prospective clients in targeted industries.
  • Answer client questions about credit terms, products, pricing, and availability.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
  • Review, follow up, and manage the pipeline of leads in the CRM system.
  • Close new business, with the primary goal of finalizing most sales at the proposal delivery stage.
  • Deliver high-quality weekly and monthly reports to track progress, outcomes, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Janitorial sales experience preferred; experience in the security building or pest control industries may substitute for janitorial sales experience.
  • Proven sales track record with experience in professional services.
  • Previous client management experience required; knowledge of CRM systems preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of internal and external customers.
  • Respond to all emails in a timely manner, even on weekends and after hours, as requested by clients.
  • Experience with budgets, P/L, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, follow-up, and negotiation skills, with the ability to make swift, sound judgments.
  • Winning contract negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
  • Must be able to regularly travel to various locations within the tri-county area (Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach). A valid driver's license is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is an asset.
