What You'll do:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- 4+ years of experience in creating robust tests for API automation, including designing and scripting complex test scenarios, handling dynamic data, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines. Preferable with Postman.
- Skilled in writing JUnit tests for both existing applications and new features, ensuring comprehensive test coverage to support the development team and maintain code quality and reliability.
- Experience and willingness to do manual testing as well as automated during the development lifecycle.
- Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting by analyzing logs, inspecting database entries, and exploring other system components to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Experience working directly with clients to understand defects and gather requirements during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring clear communication and effective resolution of issues.
- Proficient in writing and executing own test cases, effectively testing software with limited or no defined requirements, demonstrating adaptability and a keen eye for potential issues.
- Experienced in working asynchronously with the development team, ensuring timely feedback, effective collaboration, and alignment on testing priorities and requirements, even in a remote environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies specific to weather data, such as specialized data formats, visualization tools, and modeling software.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) related systems and weather data, including familiarity with geospatial data formats and tools such as NetCDF, GRIB, shapefiles, or related technologies.
- Understanding and exposure to AWS Cloud services and microservices architecture, including familiarity with deployment, scaling, and maintenance of distributed applications.
- Skilled in writing JUnit tests for both existing applications and new features, ensuring comprehensive test coverage to support the development team and maintain code quality and reliability.

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
