DRT Holdings, LLC is a leader in the metal packaging, aerospace, and precision machining industries. Our precision machining division (PREC) focuses on a diverse range of products and industries ranging from packaging, medical, garage doors, pumps, and large fabrications. DRT is hiring a Business Development Manager to help develop new business across all our PREC facilities.
We are currently seeking a candidate for:
- Position: Business Development Manager – PREC
- Location: Hybrid
Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager for PREC will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new business opportunities that align with the division's current and future capabilities. This role will not only focus on driving sales but will also support pricing, forecasting, and strategic initiatives to align with the overall Precision Segment strategy. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the sales team, influencing P&L results and delivering against business objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Responsibilities:

Develop and Manage Business Opportunities:
- Identify, acquire, and manage key strategic accounts, promoting PREC’s business capabilities.
- Build and maintain relationships across all levels of customer organizations.
- Develop and execute account management strategies to convert quotes to orders.
- Conduct pricing, forecasting, and contract-related activities as needed.
- Collect and leverage innovative ideas from customers and plants to support DRT’s innovation strategy.

Customer Liaison:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Proactively meet customer needs, identify new business opportunities, and execute the Precision Segment strategy.
- Troubleshoot field issues by collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive swift resolutions.

Pipeline and Project Management:
- Develop and maintain a new business pipeline to foster growth and innovation with assigned customers.
- Oversee strategic projects and programs, such as innovative technology introductions, cost reduction initiatives, and logistical improvements.
- Utilize information technology to gain a competitive advantage in project execution.

Reporting and Compliance:
- Record call, trip, and service reports in the CRM within 24-48 hours.
- Gather and log market intelligence and competitor data in the CRM.
- Plan and execute part trials to meet customer and company objectives.
- Submit expense reports in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 5-7 years of related experience in general machining and fabrication, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a relevant field.
- 10-15 years of work experience in general machining and fabrication at the plant or corporate level, or a combination of both.
Working Conditions: Travel 50%. Required to visit manufacturing facilities, as well as corporate offices.
