Job Description

Position Overview

Responsible for expanding our commercial client base, promoting our range of services and contribute to the overall growth of the business.


Essential Job Functions

  • Consult with business professionals to provide mechanical solutions to meet their needs
  • Provide estimates on new installations of boilers, piping systems (Gas and Water), Hot water heaters, domestic hot water systems and pump sizing/selection
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Understand their plumbing needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements
  • Utilize company software application to track leads, manage customer interactions, and generate sales reports
  • Complete paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to size and measure new systems and replacement of old systems
  • Knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and design
  • Knowledge of MA and RI Plumbing code
  • Knowledge of NFPA code
  • Ability to review blueprints and building codes to determine appropriate work procedures
  • Call on and meet with leads provided (75%)
  • Self-generate new leads and contacts (25%)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Prior sales experience required
  • Prior commercial plumbing field experience
  • Journeymen Plumbing RI or MA a plus
  • Superior customer service skills and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them in a clear and concise manner to clients

Working Conditions

Environment

  • Office environment with occasional interruptions
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Evening and/or early morning, and/or weekend/holiday hours periodically
  • Ability to work remote with management approval

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust
  • May require physical effort and cardiac endurance while reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, balancing, bending, leaning, kneeling, walking, and climbing
  • Carrying supplies, up to 25 lbs.
