Power Generation Systems Project Accounting Manager

Curtis Power Solutions, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for a Power Generation Systems Project Accounting Manager at our location in Charlotte, NC. This administrative and accounting role for the sales department is a critical role that requires independent work, thoughtful planning and effective decision making. It will also demand collaboration and cooperation with many internal and external partners. The role will provide oversight of sales administrative functions and work directly with sales managers and corporate stakeholders to provide consistency of reporting data, analytic review and modeling and develop actionable insights and recommendations for the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business needs of sales leaders and other internal partners into professional reporting formats and dashboards that generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Provide insights on sales trends and performance metrics to drive informed decision-making and identify new selling opportunities
- Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive sales performance reports and dashboards with using advanced analytics and visualization technique
- Drive continuous improvement in data processing and analytics capabilities related to sales and activity metrics.
- Build positive relationships and establish trust with business partners and cross-functional teams, collaborating closely to understand their needs and align solutions with business objectives.
- Provide comprehensive training documentation and deliver training sessions to colleagues across the organization, encouraging data literacy and empowering others to leverage reporting and analytics tools effectively.
- Provide oversight of the sales administration team, reviewing data accuracy, developing business rules and guidance with the sales and credit department.
- Interact with the credit department stakeholders to define the sales account review process for new customers.
- Develop cash flow modeling with sales managers and department stakeholders for project purchasing, invoicing and inventory receiving activities.
- Attend project handoff and release meetings, as necessary
- Open communication with project managers, credit department, accounts payable, accounts receivable
- Proactive communication with vendors and project managers to ensure all project data is up-to-date.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when dealing with customers (internal & external).
- Actively work with project administration lead to resolve issues or to discuss concerns.
- Develop and manage administrative workflow processes to be used throughout the department. Processes must consider efficiency, accuracy, reporting and costing considerations.
- Job specific auditing of transactions outside of expectations.
- Willingness to step in and assist with daily transactions of team when needed.
- Hiring, coaching, and evaluation of administrative team under your leadership. Must be willing to provide constructively critical feedback up to and including discipline when required.
Requirements
- Requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 to 5 years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.
- BA/BS degree in Business, Statistics, Accounting or other business-related subject areas preferred
- 3 to 5 + years experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Support, or related Finance role
- Energy, Power Generation, Automotive experience a plus
- Experience in Salesforce Report and Dashboard creation
- Expertise with data visualization
