JOB DESCRIPTION
The Regional Fitness Manager (RFM) is responsible for overseeing the fitness standards of studios within WCF, including franchisees under the AR umbrella. In addition, the RFM is entrusted with leading and supporting the recruitment and ongoing training of all incoming Coaches. The RFM is responsible for working alongside the Regional Team, driving all areas of the business with a special focus on growing the culture, development, and training of the fitness side through technical expertise. The RFM is responsible for holding fitness teams accountable, facilitating community events, conducting coach evaluations, and developing Head Coaches and Coaches to meet/exceed company standards. The RFM works in conjunction with the Regional and Directorial teams to ensure the budget is achieved through sales/profitability, streamlined studio operations, high-quality coaching, recruitment/optimal staffing, and in-studio culture. This is a salary-exempt Monday-Friday role (with periodic exceptions to work weekends such as in-studio and out-of-studio events), reporting to the Director of Fitness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coach Orangetheory classes, 4 classes recurring (salary) and up to 4 additional (as needed) per week
  • Host fitness training workshops to educate Coaches on best practices and Orange standards
  • Use discretionary judgment to ensure brand standards are being followed and communicated with Head Coaches and Directors
  • Perform monthly evaluations of head coaches and provide mentoring for improvement
  • Ensure Head Coaches perform monthly evaluations on fitness team - valuations should include a one-on-one meeting to review performance notes
  • Manage and fulfill organizational staffing needs - facilitate OTFitCert as needed to enforce OTF brand standards as instructed by Director
  • Host continuing education classes or workshops on a monthly basis and utilize Head Coaches during presentations to further develop the fitness team
  • Attend a minimum of (1) community event per month; host a minimum of (2) Head Coach meetings monthly, one in-person and one virtual
  • Host quarterly Regional Fitness Workshop for Head Coaches and Coaches
  • Engage and monitor communication across all studios
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Successful completion of the OTFit Certification; Current nationally accredited personal trainer or primary group exercise certification from one of the following: NSCA, ACE, ACSM, AFAA or NASM; current CPR/ AED certification; bachelor’s Degree in an Exercise Science related field is a plus
  • Knowledge + Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a leader in the fitness industry preferred; minimum of 1-year experience as an OTF Fitness Coach preferred
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated and driven fitness professional; excellent communication and organization skills required; ability to effectively give training presentations to small groups with previous experience in training/mentoring; knowledge of computer skills, MS office, and basic software programs; compliance with the OTF Brand; able to work flexible schedules as needed, including weekends and holidays

Fitness Coaches are leaders of the Orangetheory workouts. This requires them to be on their feet leading and instructing members for the entirety of the workout. In the weight room, coaches must demonstrate all exercises for members, which can involve Bosu trainers, medicine balls, dumbbells, TRX, mini bands or other fitness equipment.

Job Type: Full-time; travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel will be expected.
Pay: $75,000-85,000/yr + bonus potential
