Job Summary:
The Vice President of Logistics is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's logistics sales operations and supply chain management. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of logistics processes and technologies.
Essential Job Duties:
- The Vice President of Logistics is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's logistics sales operations and supply chain management
- Develop new business account relationships by understanding the customers’ business, identifying growth opportunities, and driving improvement with a focus on big and heavy items final mile delivery and LTL consolidation
- Retain profitable business by managing account base and ensuring quality relationships with customers
- Represent the company in strategic negotiations with customers, while developing and maintaining high-level relationships with key decision-makers at shippers
- Cultivate new sales leads to established business
- Take leadership of the sales cycle process including prospect development, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, contract signing, start-up, and customer service follow-up after business award
- Mentor sales team members to enhance and refine requisite skills and competencies needed to successfully close business
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions
- Other duties as assigned by department supervisor, manager, and/or executive management

- Frequently see periods of prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling
- Frequently see periods of prolonged sitting and repetitive motions due to use of computer equipment and telephones

- Work performed indoors in an office facility with temperatures subject to normal environmental conditions
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Generally, requires minimum of 10+ years of experience in big and bulky items logistics sales and LTL sales and 3+ years of experience focus on final mile delivery service.
- Extensive track record as a role model and emerging leader of a sales team.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-lasting and effective business relationships.
- Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Must be able to adapt to changes, and mobilize team on the same to achieve company goals & objectives.
- Familiar with high volume operation.
- Attention to detail and confident decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated strong sense of integrity
- Problem-solving and decision making skills
- Strong analytical skills Equipment Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); intermediate-level Excel, in particular
- Proficient computer skills
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $250,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
