E D Industrial has been operating since 2003. We are a multi-skilled company located in the Greater Toronto Area. The services we offer include millwrighting, manufacturing equipment installations and refurbishing existing production equipment, steel fabrication, pipe fitting, concrete work forming and demolition, maintenance and repair, CAD design and layout, plant relocation, civil construction, and project evaluation. We have worked in a variety of industries including building products, food and beverage, metal refineries, recycling, aggregates, concrete, and bulk material handling.
All of our employees are dedicated tradespeople that include millwrights, CWB & TSSA certified welders, machinists, pipefitters, CAD designers, and engineers. Safety is the number one priority for our company and we belong to the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA). All our tradespeople are fully certified in areas such as WHIMS, forklifts, man lifts, aerials, hot work practices, lockout procedures, etc.
Summary Description:
E D Industrial is looking to fill a Business Development position for our growing company. The Business Development central role is to develop and foster relationships with new clients to keep crews busy year-round and help grow our business. Applicants must be detail-oriented and have customer service skills, closing skills, prospecting skills, and estimating skills. The applicant is expected to have knowledge and presentation skills when calling on customers. This position is a salary based plus commission. Applicant must possess strong interpersonal skills to build long term relationships with clients and E D Industrial team members
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Services existing accounts, qualify opportunities, make site visits, obtain opportunities to quote and sell jobs as well as closely monitor jobs with the Estimator/Account Manager and Field Service Manager.
- Establish new accounts by identifying work through various organizations, planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on potential clients.
- Identify business opportunities and target markets by listening to client needs
- Make initial key customer contacts through trade shows, visits, call, and emails.
- Focuses Business Development efforts in areas of company expertise and company growth targets as communicated by management
- May be required to make site visits to measure and obtain necessary information for bidding
- Present proposals and company literature to clients as needed
- Be goal-driven at meeting company target as well as personal targets
- Must be able to develop relationships and then develop business clients
- Keep management informed and up to date with activities and results
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 plus years sales experience in Construction, Millwright or related industry such as the food and beverage sector
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook and CRM
- Ability to prepare professional presentations
- Ability to assess customer opportunities from collecting data, qualifying leads and draw intelligent conclusions best for the ED Industrial as well as the customer to create a partnership between both parties.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Must be able to comply with company and customer safety procedures
- Must be able to bend, kneel, climb and carry 50lbs
- Must obtain a valid G license
