Brightworks Energy is a full-service solar energy provider. We focus on custom applications for farms, homes & commercial buildings, cottages & off-grid systems. We are looking for a contract Solar PV Technicians to join our team. This is an excellent career opportunity for the right individual, with outstanding growth potential. The PV Technician will work under direction of his/her Lead Hand and/or Superintendent in the installation of industrial, commercial and residential solar projects. This person will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed in an efficient and timely manner while adhering to company procedures and standards.Start Date: ASAPDuties and Responsibilities:· Responsible for the installation of photovoltaic systems. Roofing and/or construction experience preferred.· Responsible for the quality and efficiency of an installation.· Maintain company owned tools and equipment.· Uphold Brightworks Energy standards of professionalism- timeliness, appropriate job site behavior, etc.· Reports job status to Supervisor on a daily basis.· Responsible for contribution to jobsite safety.· Work well with construction crews, performing construction tasks.· Troubleshoot a variety of technologies.Remuneration:· Industry leading compensation structure on a project by project basis based on site-specific characteristicsQualifications:· Ability to meet job deadlines and labour estimates.·Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and execute construction·Ability to mount electrical equipment and run cabling and wires· Working At Heights Certification Required· Ability to handle physical demands.· Ability to absorb all levels of PV training available.· Ability to communicate effectively to all members of the solar team and customers.· Ability to work safely and effectively on steep roofs.· Good knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code standards and practices.· Knowledge of PV technology and installation.· Valid G class driver’s license.· Willingness to step outside of daily job expectations to contribute where needed to help entire Brightworks Energy team succeed.· Extensive experience with installation tools and procedures.· Strong interest in renewable energyThis individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to complete rooftop solar PV installations. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week

Additional pay:

  • Bonus pay
