JOB SUMMARY: The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling production jobs as needed and in compliance with our Customer’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Must be able to review previous nights production to ensure all went according to plan.
Must be able to maintain by counting roll stock inventory needed for the day and future
projects.
Must be able to make adjustments to extrusion schedule as needed based in roll count
inventory.
Must be able to determine roll counts, change overs, late orders and hot items/lines then
add them to the production board in the “war room”.
Must be able to discuss all items added to production board as well as any other
important tasks, specifications or requirements which need to be communicated with
production team
Must be able to discuss change over targets with set-up team right after morning
production meeting.
Must be able to complete and return the shortage report to CS to inform them of
completion dates for items which we are currently short on.
Must be able to add any new orders which may have been added to the shortage report
which are not already on the schedule.
Must be able to check on boxes to ensure our vendor has them available for release, if
not, ask purchasing to place an order.
Must be able to confirm status of any expected deliveries for needed materials (i.e. bags
or boxes) to ensure we have what we need to run.
Must be able to adjust production schedule to account for any issues we may have
incurred the day before or any issues which may arise from lack of or late deliveries of
the materials listed above.
Must be able to complete daily manning work sheet.
Must be able to finalize all 3 production schedules for the next 24 hours.
Must be able to send out all 3 production schedules to production team along with an
email explaining the plan and including any necessary targets which must be hit.
Must be able to verify and confirm inventories for negative quantities and adjust as
needed.
Must be able to perform other duties as assigned in compliance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

perform.) To perform this job successfully an individual must:
Monday – count all boxes which will be needed for the week. From these counts, set-up
delivery schedules with Purchasing to ensure we receive the boxes we need on time.
Monday – review on-hand inventories of all production items and match them with our
customer supplied forecasts to ensure all provided forecasts are being accounted for.
Daily – perform system clean up – print work order listing report and ensure that all jobs
which should have been closed via the scheduling system were actually closed in the ERP
system as well.
Daily - Update shared drop box schedule for our customer who requires it.
Daily - Generate any of the numerous reports which may be requested.
Daily - Adjust BOM’s when errors are found
Daily - Create new part numbers in system as new tools are being created
Daily - Find appropriate boxes for new items before they arrive.
Daily - Create repack requests to have bulk inventories packed out into combos when
orders are received
Daily - Generate ECN’s to use alternative materials when necessary
Daily - Inform CS/sales team of any changes made to any existing specs as changes are
made
Daily - Add new forecasts to the forecast spreadsheet as they are received
Daily – review partial pallet list and request Shipping to bring out items that are
scheduled to run
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,816.73 - $95,015.85 per year
