Job Description

Soft dB – Acoustics & Vibration Experts, the largest firm in Canada specializing in acoustics and vibration, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for our Monitoring division. With over 25 years in the industry, we are known worldwide for our cutting-edge acoustical and vibration engineering expertise (consulting, monitoring, noise control) and sound masking technology.

Our monitoring division is growing rapidly and we are looking for someone to accelerate the development of our activities in vibro-acoustic monitoring. By joining us, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the success of the most advanced monitoring solution on the market!

Soft dB Monitoring Solution:

Our monitoring system allows real-time, 24/7 monitoring of noise and vibration levels across various outdoor sites (e.g., industrial, construction sites, quarries and sand pits, mining operations, and more). Our monitoring stations communicate with our web platform and allows site managers to be notified instantly when there are risks of exceeding their noise and vibration limits. They are thus able to ensure the continuous compliance of their sites with current environmental standards and make informed decisions regarding their operations (e.g. blasting, excavation, crushing, screening, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the director of the monitoring division, the responsibilities of the business development manager will be:

  • Represent Soft dB with an impeccable attitude that is positive, productive, professional, and geared toward genuine customer satisfaction;
  • Establish business development objectives with Soft dB’s management team and deploy all available resources to meet and exceed the objectives;
  • Reach out and follow up with potential customers;
  • Build business relationships with current and potential customers;
  • Present and demonstrate the monitoring solution;
  • Assure the link between the customers and the technical team;
  • Prepare proposals in collaboration with the team;
  • Maintain Soft dB’s customer database (CRM) with relevant customers and potential customer information.

REQUIREMENTS:

· 5 to 10 years in sales or business development with a strong track record in one or more of the following sectors:

  • Monitoring;
  • Construction;
  • Facilities project management.

· Knowledge of the Toronto market;

· Computer proficiency to produce documents in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;

· Experience in database/sales tool management (CRM);

· A driver’s licence and a vehicle.
