About the Role:
Sugar Steel Corporation is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Evansville, IN. This role will involve working closely with our customers to provide excellent service and drive sales for our steel products under the Branch Manager's supervision.


Responsibilities:
  • Grow customer accounts through proactive communication and relationship building
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the existing customer base
  • Ability to prepare and deliver sales quotes
  • Review daily pricing on quotes to make sure they are in line with our pricing philosophy
  • Must understand gross profit, net profit, and all costs associated with shipping an order
  • Serves as the primary contact for customers, maintains customer relationships and addresses all issues with the assigned customer base
  • Interact with other members of the sales team and operations to assist in increasing sales opportunities for the company
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions
  • Must be abler to communicate clearly to customers via phone or email
  • Some travel to key accounts
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of inside sales experience and knowledge, preferably in the steel or industrial industry
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Self-motivated with a passion for sales
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) as well as internet search engines required.
  • Provide feedback to the Branch Manager
  • Review and address customers complaints with the Branch Manager
