WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Field Account Representative is responsible for a specific basin/region, driving market-based product sales. They proactively attract and source new clients, close sales to achieve financial goals, and provide expertise on product applications, pricing, and customer engagement. This role demands a self-starter who rapidly builds a substantial new business pipeline and effectively manages deals throughout the sales process.

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

  • Drive aggressive sales through prospecting, qualification, and closing of profitable leads, exceeding area sales goals
  • Execute action plans to expand the customer base, including targeted or key accounts, and increase market share
  • Articulate and promote the BICO Drilling Tools brand, shifting conversations from price to value, showcasing our impact on customer risk, well drilling costs, and performance
  • Support the sales process with planning, measurement, monitoring, and adjustments to meet financial goals
  • Follow pricing policies, providing timely, accurate, and profitable pricing in accordance with the structure
  • Manage and grow customer relationships, identify opportunities, and ensure high customer satisfaction and retention with strategic accounts
  • Develop comprehensive prospect knowledge, including equipment needs, budgeting, decision-making, products, competition, and market characteristics
  • Perform technical presentations to customers' engineers and representatives
  • Participate in trade, networking, and technical events, implementing company marketing plans as needed

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelors degree is preferred
  • Experience as an outside sales professional or customer service representative especially within oilfield services industry is preferred but not required
  • Ability to approach problems/customer complaints by providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits, and to follow up to ensure resolution
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff
  • A motor vehicle record with no more than two moving violations or at-fault accidents within the last three years
  • Flexibility to work evenings and on weekends as needed, ensuring customer requirements/expectations are met on time, every time

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Operate basic office equipment, such as a keyboard, mouse, and copier/printer/scanner
  • Sit and/or stand for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours a day
  • Walk/travel to production areas while wearing appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), at minimum includes safety glasses, steel-toe footwear and a hardhat
  • Ability to lift 10lbs regularly and with assistance, up to 25lbs on occasion
  • Operate a motor vehicle per company Vehicle Use Requirements
  • Ability to travel, 10% or more, domestically
