Chella Foods is a Vancouver based company that sells natural walnut and fruit juice snacks. We are looking for a seasonal Full-time Farmer's Market Sales Representative.

About the role:

Your job will be to set up stalls at various markets throughout greater Vancouver and to describe what churchkhela is, how it’s made, and the rich history behind our product! This position is part time, and workdays are primarily weekends. The typical start time for this position is anywhere between 8:00 am - 9:00 am, and the typical end time for this position is anywhere between 4:00 - 5:00 pm. This job will require extensive communication with farmers market shoppers, as such, this candidate should possess a warm and approachable personality. This job is seasonal, and runs from early May to late August

Requirements.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Customer service experience dealing with customers in a fast-paced working environment
The ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs
A Valid Driver's License

Primary Responsibilities

Packing the products and supplies needed for market operations
Transporting the products and supplies to/from market locations.
Setting up a vendor booth at market locations including setting up the tent, tables, and product display.
Meeting sales expectations by actively sampling, describing products and their usage, and answering customer questions.
Booth breakdown, including packing up unsold products in an organized and careful manner, counting returns, and cleaning up.
Maintaining a positive, friendly attitude when dealing with the customers, vendors, and the general public.

Compensation:

The starting rate of pay for this position is $19/hour with 3% commission. With good performance, an hourly rate of $24 may be expected.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
