Business Development Manager
Type of Position: Salaried / Exempt
Reports To: General Manager
Job Summary:
Bell-Memphis provides established products that are qualified to military standards and offer significant revenue growth potential. This role is an opportunity to develop the Business Development Strategy and lead its execution.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
1. Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s Business Development Strategy to ensure consistent revenue growth through further leveraging existing markets, capturing new markets, and/or developing new products.
2. Leverage innovative ways to capture market intelligence from various research sources and customer communication channels.
3. Provide market analysis and strategic direction backed with data to promote company growth and profit.
4. Ensure that the Bell-Memphis brand is presented effectively (digital and print marketing) to capture new business.
5. Define, implement, and track key Business Development metrics and consistently meet or exceed them.
6. Establish and maintain exceptional relationships with strategic customers and industry stakeholders.
7. Analyze overall customer experience in order to identify gaps and collaborate with necessary functions (Customer Service, Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, etc.) to improve customer satisfaction.
8. Establish pricing for customer quotations based on market conditions and the quoted product’s manufacturability.

7. Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and HR)
8. Strong MS Office Skills
9. Ability to travel domestically and internationally to support trade shows, customer visits, and industry standards meetings
10. Ability to analyze, explain, and solve problems with minimal or no direction within all facets of business environment
Education and/or Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree required
2. Master’s Degree preferred
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development required
4. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
