About the Team & Role:
The Mid-Market (Growth) advertising sales team works with some of the largest organizations across all different categories. The Technology & Entertainment team sits within the Emerging Vertical and, along with tech and entertainment, consists of: Real Estate, Legal Services (Personal Injury and Class Action law firms), Home Services, and many other clients that target B2B services, among other sub-verticals. As an Industry Solutions Strategist, you will have extensive knowledge of the technology & entertainment industries across online advertising, consumption, and measurement. You'll use your influence and relationship-building skills to discover the business needs of our Growth clients and develop winning go-to-market strategies to shape how new and existing businesses grow. You are a gifted storyteller, with the ability to translate insights into clear positioning & marketing outputs that are ownable to TikTok. You anticipate how client decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the insights that shape the business vertical, and understand how the vertical is showing up on TikTok to clearly articulate how TikTok can grow their business. TikTok currently observes a hybrid working policy of 4 days in the office each week and 1 day working remotely. This position is full-time and based out of our Austin, TX office.

This role will primarily be focused on driving three key pillars:
  • 1) Strategic Planning: work with vertical leadership to plan for initiatives and big bets that are 6-12 months in the future.
  • 2) Sales Enablement: develop industry specific narratives that can relate to both C Suite contacts as well as practitioners. Partner with the sales teams to present industry insights in priority client meetings.
  • 3) Industry Insights: help our sales teams and clients understand who their users are on TikTok and how to better target those users.
Responsibilities:
  • Build innovative, forward-looking industry narratives and playbooks that highlight the challenges and needs of clients and agencies. The assets should be created with TikTok's voice and enable strategic sales conversations
  • Define strategic points of view and translate them into effective, breakthrough narratives (Presentations, one sheet, research based collateral) for Technology & Entertainment clients
  • Present thought leadership narratives that are integrated into Client Meetings, Vertical Events, and Client Summits
  • Lead the marketing pipeline of research and marketing needs for the Technology & Entertainment Vertical
  • Create strategic rationale for the annual pipeline of primary research to fuel narrative releases for the Vertical
  • Partner with MarSci Research + Insights, Measurement, Creative Lab, and Creator Solutions to source on-platform top trends and insights that bolster TikTok's positioning
  • Create Use Cases and Case Studies
  • Be a strategic partner to Technology & Entertainment Vertical leadership
  • Identify winning strategies and scale the insights throughout the Vertical to provide maximum business value to the clients to drive continuous consumption
  • Update Sales, Marketing, and Product teams on the latest headwinds, tailwinds, and trends in the industry to inspire new ways of driving consumption for clients.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of the media buying cycle and media industry to help identify opportunities and anticipate barriers for the Vertical
Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:
  • Extensive experience in Marketing, Advertising, Research & Insights, and/or Marketing Strategy
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience within the technology & entertainment industries
  • Outstanding executive presence and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to engage C-level executives.
  • Storyteller with experience communicating the benefit of marketing opportunities to clients.
  • Experience building relationships with top marketing decision-makers at brands and agencies.
  • Must be able to foster executive relationships with genuine interest in customers’ success.
  • Knowledge of agency ecosystem, digital and traditional.
  • Demonstrated experience using advertising data to craft media strategy.
