Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing all operations within the Maintenance Department. Provides management level advice to the Director of Facilities/EHS and the VP of Operations, as well as additional managers and supervisors regarding all maintenance activities, issues and concerns at Gold Tech Industries. The Maintenance Manager plans, organizes, directs and implements an effective Maintenance Program to include preventative maintenance, equipment maintenance, and recordkeeping necessary for the tracking and implementation of the maintenance program. In addition, the Maintenance Manager serves as the central source for maintenance related information and assistance to other departments within Gold Tech Industries.
Primary Job Functions:
· Manage maintenance team and custodian/janitorial team, including shift scheduling,
task assignment, performance reviews, etc.
· Utilizes “MaintainX” Software to manage and document entire Maintenance Program.
· Performs preventative maintenance as required.
· Contact outside contractors as necessary for equipment failures or routine maintenance (Air Compressors, Exhaust Scrubbers, etc.)
· Equipment maintenance whenever possible on plant equipment and provide routine maintenance and repair to all plating and/or polishing equipment as needed.
· Fabricates and/or may install hangers, brackets and other securing devices to secure equipment as necessary. Shims and balances equipment as necessary.
· Assists in the installation and movement of a variety of light, medium and heavy equipment. Ensures that the performance of these activities is well documented.
· Repairs, lubricates and performs preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
· Maintains records of expenditures per budget if required.
· Works effectively with suppliers, internal customers and contractors.
· Performs painting tasks as required.
· Performs work inside and outside all facility areas including Plating Rooms, Polishing Areas, Shipping Rooms, Wastewater-Treatment Area, Chemical Storage Room, above ceiling, on the roof, on the building’s grounds, etc.
Primary Job Functions (continued):
· Approves and/or places orders for equipment, supplies, and related items used throughout the Maintenance Department and related areas.
· Briefs the Director of Facilities/EHS on maintenance concerns, recommends improvements and/or modifications and provides information required for decision making.
· Conducts interviews and participates in the selection of Maintenance Department staff.
· Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, optimize Maintenance Department and work cooperatively and jointly with other departments to ensure continued production operations.
· Plans, prioritizes, assigns and reviews the work of Maintenance Department staff.
· Coordinates and/or conducts staff training on specific tools and equipment and procedures within the Maintenance Department.
· Exercises direct supervision over technical & operational Maintenance Department staff.
Secondary Job Functions:

· Recommends and assists in the implementation of goals and objectives.
· Performs basic to moderate plumbing duties as required.
· Update maintenance software for all equipment (if necessary).
· Work with employees to correct deficiencies and implement discipline procedures.
· Preparation and administration of annual department budget, including cost estimates for budget recommendations; monitor and control expenditures.

Job Qualification Requirements: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities necessary for this position. At a minimum, five years of professional level experience in the field of maintenance management, facilities management, general construction, mechanical or electrical engineering or related fields.

· High School diploma or a GED equivalent qualification.
· 2 years’ experience in maintenance and service of manufacturing/industrial equipment.
· Good mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new procedures.
· Follow verbal and written instructions.
· Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands:
· Ability to use mechanical devices (drum trucks/dollies, pallet jacks, forklift).
· Physical strength to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time.
· Ability to do repetitive work, requiring strong dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
· Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead and bend.
· Normal to corrected vision required.
· Occasional work in chemical production and wastewater-treatment areas.
· Ability to work with a variety of standard office equipment (computers, monitors, printers).
