JOB SUMMARY:
Sales Representatives are responsible for building relationships with our customers and assuring their business needs are met. As a Sales Representative for Tool-Smith, Inc., you will be the main point of contact for all customers in the designated territory. You will primarily collaborate and interface with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers and Plant
Maintenance personnel at automotive, aerospace, and consumer products manufacturing facilities. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in Baldwin County.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Have positive interactions and communication with all customers and suppliers.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Manage multiple customer orders, associated tasks, and projects simultaneously and respond quickly to all customer requests.
- Take responsibility for the profitability of each of your individual customer order transactions.
- Develop and ensure sense of urgency and culture of quality, safety, and adherence to company core values.
- Manage customers and suppliers with a positive attitude.
- Identifies new customers and new product applications
- Work to ensure all sales, projects and services are delivered on schedule and meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Be the customer’s advocate during interactions with management and our vendor partners
- Timely and accurate reporting to management
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient communication – written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills
- Good computer proficiency
- Sales instinct
- Some mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to travel
- A strong work ethic
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years sales experience in a B2B role (preferred)
- 2+ years industrial sales experience (preferred)
- Engineering Degree (preferred)
- Recent college graduates will be considered with some industrial experience
