The Commercial Sales Analyst I is accountable for supporting the day-to-day reporting and dashboarding for the Commercial Sales and Customer Experience Organization. This role provides reporting and insights specific to market intelligence, sales quotes, spec and basis of design position. This individual is a subject matter expert in Dodge BI, DCRM quotations, Construct Connect and internal reporting systems.
Essential Job Functions
- Creation and delivery of static reporting within Excel
- Limited ability to create interactive Tableau Dashboards
- Ability to identify single channel/product insights from a single data source
- Design, build and maintain KPI calculations and reporting in Tableau
- Build reporting solutions for sales project funnel, quotes and market reporting
- Base understanding of data design, schemas and platforms
- Familiarity with SQL
- Deliver insights and results in a clear manner backed by data
- Ability to deliver on action plans to aid in the delivery of team and individual project plans and charters
- Be curious – present opportunities for data efficiencies, report optimization and advanced analytics to enhance overall performance tracking and opportunity identification based on business needs
Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Business or Marketing
- Entry level proficiency in Excel, Tableau and other reporting tools (Power BI, Google Analytics, etc.)
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, in particular, Microsoft Dynamics
- Intermediate level written and verbal presentation skills
- Basic understanding of Statistical concepts and applications
- Flexibility to adapt to deadlines, changing schedules, and priorities
- Ability to prioritize competing projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and not afraid to ask questions to find the best path forward
- Knowledge of data integration and governance practices highly preferred
- Intellectual curiosity – Desire to continually improve business acumen to provide value and thought leadership to the Organization
- Intrinsically motivated - Able to work both independently, with minimal supervision but also collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
