Job Description
SUMMARY: Successfully manage New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts territory by strengthening existing relationships. Establish new sales opportunities by evaluating packaging needs and offering services necessary to fulfill those needs. Negotiate, monitor, and develop creative plans to grow the territory while utilizing all necessary departments and resources Volk Packaging provides. Coordinate on the customers' behalf to improve their overall packaging needs and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Key Accountabilities
Present VPC’s mission, values, and the company culture positively to all Prospects and Existing Customers.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals focusing on profitable growth and increasing profit margins. Continue to pursue ways to improve VPC margins with our customers.
Listen to customers and prospects to understand their challenges and provide them with solutions that create opportunities for VPC.
Explore and implement creative packaging solutions for customers.
Demonstrate ability to understand, retain, and expand knowledge of the corrugated industry as well as any packaging our customers utilize and need.
Maintain excellent communication between customers/prospects and VPC production team to ensure quality products and timely deliveries.
Utilize research tools such as; Linked In, Business Directories, Websites, and other resources that lead to building a prospect pipeline, that accelerates VPC’s New Customer acquisition.
Provides reports on prospects, established and new customers in an assigned territory consistently.
Maintain a commitment to self-development, including selling skills, negotiating, problem-solving, and communicating. Participate in and successfully complete sales training as required by management.
Negotiate annual agreements and price adjustments for customers on behalf of VPC.
Must be self-motivated, demonstrate the ability to work independently, and present a positive and optimistic approach with customers.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university (Business-related degree preferred); High School degree required; or five-plus years related business to business (B2B) experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication/Language Skills
Must have the ability to communicate well with people, both verbally and written. This position requires an outgoing personality and willingness to step outside ones’ comfort zone. Must have the ability to work well with others. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general sales information, business procedures, and policies. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers in group settings, business partners, and the public. Ability to communicate in English.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to make independent, daily decisions are required and the ability to understand when some decisions require approval. Must be able to problem-solve and respond quickly to customer demands.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
Valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance required. Must provide a personal vehicle for travel.
Physical Demands
Ability to drive and sit for long periods of time between travel locations. Also, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to lift and/or move 10-25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Must be able to work independently from home and vehicle. Must be extremely self-motivated.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
