General Summary:

The Unum HCM Solution Consulting business is expanding!
The HCM Consulting Services Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless business operations and enhancing client satisfaction. This role provides comprehensive support to the HCM Consulting team as they deliver superior service to our valued clients.

Efforts aimed at maximizing productivity and refining operational processes are evident in the following key responsibilities:
1. Statement of Work (SOW) Management
2. Billing/Invoice Coordination
3. Strategic Initiative Participation
4. Project Coordination

As the Solutions business expands, the HCM Consulting Services Coordinator role offers the opportunity to showcase skills in self-leadership, project coordination, and strategic contribution as well as provide exposure across the Unum Solutions organization.

This is a hybrid position located in Portland, ME, Chattanooga TN, or Atlanta, GA.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 2+ years of insurance/business experience in one or more of the following areas: Client Services, Underwriting, Benefit Center
  • Familiarity with HCM products, services, and processes with emphasis on funding options, embedded services, and claims (i.e., Workday, UKG, ADP, etc.)
  • Proficient experience facilitating the Statement of Work (SOW) process, including drafting, finalizing, and signing
  • Strong partnership skills to work with billing teams to verify accuracy and reconcile discrepancies
  • Demonstrated superior project management skills and ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
  • Experience contributing to strategic initiatives and process improvement initiatives
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of employees
  • Ability to navigate and partner/collaborate effectively throughout all areas of the company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing skills
  • Orientation toward accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Flexibility to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and Manage customer contract documents - SOWs (Statement of Work), Master Service Agreements, etc.
  • Partner will Billing Service Team to confirm customers are billed on a timely basis
  • Coordinate CSAT survey’s including responses/monitoring/references/testimonials
  • Coordinate data capture, monthly reporting needs
  • Partner with onboarding team to recommend and implement processes to ensure a cohesive process with customer onboarding and case level tracking.
  • Partner with customer success team on case planning and communications
  • Partner with Marketing team to manage and improve consulting marketing material – webinar prep, etc.
  • Support consistent production of high-quality proposal/RFP questionnaire responses (all product and service offerings) in support of HR Connect
  • Synthesize/summarize information into consistent, accurate, clear, concise responses that present a positive tone/image of Unum
  • Support management, to drive the development of an organization focused on delivering high quality, consistent, and accurate proposals which accurately reflect the service offering and the associated costs being offered to prospective clients working on quality reviews, being the subject matter expert, etc.
  • Leverage expertise and communications abilities to create strong working relationships with key subject matter experts throughout the organization to maintain knowledge, facilitate cooperation, and ensure unique solutions and timely responses to specific proposal questions
  • Develop a leadership role within unit and outside area in achieving company goals and objectives
  • Manage and execute on special assigned projects that contribute to the strategic initiatives relative to the Solutions organization
  • Monitoring of HR Connect SLAs and KPIs
  • May perform other duties as assigned

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$52,440.00-$94,415.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
