Job Title: Logistics Sales Manager (2 OPEN POSITIONS)
Location: Fully Remote (Travel up to 10%; expenses paid)
Salary: Base salary starting at $100,000+, plus uncapped commission. Total compensation is negotiable based on experience and track record.
Company Overview: A leading transportation company in the fresh produce sector is seeking two dynamic Logistics Sales Managers to drive the growth of their logistics operation. The company operates a fleet of 165 trucks and trailers and aims to expand its shipping services by securing new clients to optimize fleet capacity, especially focusing on the transportation of produce.
Job Summary: The Logistics Sales Manager is responsible for driving the growth of the logistics brokerage by identifying, securing, and managing new business for the transportation of produce and other goods. This role requires a highly motivated sales professional with a strong network and proven track record in freight brokerage, particularly in LTL or refrigerated transportation. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to generate new business and develop long-term client relationships, achieving substantial revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and secure new customers (shippers) to fill unused capacity in the fleet.
- Develop and implement strategies to generate leads, close deals, and grow a portfolio of clients, with an emphasis on backhauls and produce transportation.
- Own the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients and track progress in CRM tools.
- Create and implement innovative sales campaigns to attract clients and grow business.

Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients.
- Understand client needs, providing tailored solutions by working with the logistics team.
- Be the primary point of contact for key accounts, managing expectations and ensuring service satisfaction.
- Review service performance with clients and resolve any operational or logistics issues.

Market Research & Strategy:
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities.
- Use market insights to refine sales strategies and recommend improvements.
- Identify gaps in the market to target new verticals or geographic areas for growth.

Collaboration & Coordination:
- Partner with internal teams to align transport needs and timelines.
- Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to develop promotional campaigns for prospective customers.
- Work closely with the finance department to manage pricing, contracts, and billing processes.
- Assist in coordinating operations, while Logistics Load Planners handle detailed logistics once the sale is made.

Performance Reporting & Metrics:
- Provide senior management with regular updates on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline status.
- Monitor KPIs, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet revenue goals.
- Report on annual revenue growth and new business development.
Qualifications:

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight brokerage, with a focus on LTL, refrigerated, or produce transportation.
- Proven track record of year-over-year revenue growth and successful client acquisition.
- Experience in both retail (e.g., Walmart) and produce transportation sectors is preferred.

Skills & Expertise:
- Ability to generate a $1M+ book of business from new clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, CRM tools, and other sales tracking software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and freight brokerage operations.

Education:
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
