Summary
The Director of Sales, Contract Logistics reports to the LOGISTEED-America, Inc. VP of CL.
This position requires excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal. This position will support the growth and expansion of the Company’s client list and portfolio for both domestic and international business. Additionally, including but not limited to:
- Must be able to communicate and interact with GM and Customers in a productive and professional manner
- Follow established procedures and meet or exceed safety, quality and productivity standards

Essential Functions

Operations
- Long-term planning to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals
- Coordinating different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities to ensure necessary operational results
- Perform tasks safely
- Ensure area housekeeping requirements are met
- Abide by all OSHA rules and LOGISTEED America, Inc.’s safety practices
- Meet established procedures and productivity, safety and quality standards
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact to ensure overall health in the relationship of the Company and the account/client
- Manage relationships with key operations vendors
- Track vendor service levels
Sales
- Meet all assigned sales and budget goals
- Assist with qualifying and vetting prospective accounts and clients
- Close and sign agreements with accounts that support the Company’s vision in strategic business expansion
- Engage and communicate with the sales support to team to help identify potential targets and align on strategy how to approach the potential client
- Offer exemplary customer service and support with the goal of expanding business and gauging further sales opportunities from existing accounts
Communications
- Communicating effectively both with GM and management and their team
- Effectively and fairly deal with many constituents (colleagues, employees, agents, carriers, customers, etc.) via developed diplomacy and interpersonal skills to maximize sales and revenue growth within territory
- Be an ambassador of LOGISTEED America, Inc. in the contract logistics industry and represent the company in a way that reflects positively at all times to our customers and partners
- Use proven and documented accountability and coaching methods on a continual basis to develop and support the growth of a cohesive global sales team
Employee Engagement
- Inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives
- Encourage staff to learn as much as possible about the Contract Logistics industry
- Motivate staff to take pride in the Company as part of a winning team that has the best interests of the Company in mind

Safety

- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and ensuring area housekeeping requirements are met
Finance
- Review all operational invoices as requested
- Assist with forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; schedule of expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions

- Directing, supervising, evaluating, training, and developing employees
- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

Preferred Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions
Previous Work Experience
- 5 years of Contract Logistics or 3PL sales experience
Education and Certifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Equivalent work experience will be considered
Experience Requirements and Preferences
- 4-year college degree preferred

- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and regulations (OSHA)
- Ability to make decisions in an objective manner
