What to Expect
We are looking for a result-oriented, experienced Process and System Automation Project Manager, to streamline, simplify, and automate processes for Tesla’s Megapack business, focusing on system improvements across sales, deployment, service, finance, and legal teams. This is a hands-on project management role focusing on uncovering gaps and inefficiencies in our global business processes and systems, developing success metrics and recommendations, documenting business requirements and results, and partnering closely with IT/other internal stakeholders to implement solutions.
This role is part of the Global Project Management team for Tesla Megapack and will be the liaison between business and IT stakeholders. Key deliverables include applying best-in-class program management practices to drive project intake evaluation, prioritization, facilitate go/no-go decisions, generate UAT scripts, training materials and drive adoptions of new tools/processes, ensuring these projects solve for the most pressing business needs.
Looking for an avid and passionate problem-solver, interested in developing a deep understanding of business objectives and processes, skilled in cross functional collaboration and removing project roadblocks.
This role will co-locate with key stakeholders to ensure collaboration, at Palo Alto, CA, with frequent travel to Fremont, CA.
What You’ll Do
  • Manage business process mapping and continuous process improvement for all global regions. Be accountable for defining scope, success metrics, user stories, key stakeholders, milestones, UAT scripts, communication plan and training materials
  • Collaborate with global Sales, Sales Ops, Demand Planning, Logistics, Production and Accounting to identify process and system deficiencies, triage conversation and problem-solving sessions to develop and implement optimal business processes. Document business requirements concisely, then partner with IT to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Develop User Acceptance Script, and conduct end-to-end, integrated UATs
  • Perform ROI analysis, and partner with IT on technical feasibility analysis to aid project prioritization
  • Develop and manage project plans, apply solid project management best practices to ensure the projects are meeting deadlines and business purpose
  • Develop and manage the project communication plan and change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new automated processes and systems
  • Develop training materials and conduct user training in all global regions
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, IT or Operations Management or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing large, complex projects that are enterprise-wide and global in nature, involving customer relationship management platform, contracting platform, order and inventory management systems
  • Experience in supporting Sales/Sales Operations stakeholders in organizations that manufacture tangible goods
  • 1+ years of executive reporting experience
  • Thrive in a high-energy environment and can effectively manage change in business priorities
  • Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams

Expected Compensation

$80,000 - $120,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
